'02 YAMAHA YZR500 (Red Bull / G.Mccoy)

So, this was the last Yamaha YZR 500 of 2002 which was ridden by the Australian Gary McCoy. I very much liked his riding style whilst on the Yamaha, he then switched teams to Kawasaki & is presently in the WSK championship.
I plan to build this bike using the Tamiya kit, Scale Motorsport photo etched parts, and the Media Mix decals.
This is where I always start from, the body, the most time consuming, where any small defects cannot be hidden. At this stage I have joined main pats, used filler, sanded & primed twice.
I have joined the swing arm, frame & used milliput to fill the cavities. Sanded the exhausts, used putty to accordingly.
I have given the main body parts four coats of Tamiya TS50, the first being very light, just enough for the following coats to have something to grip to, now I will leave to dry for about two weeks.
I have cut the carbon fiber disc brakes from the Tamiya kit, which I will be replacing using the Scale Motorsport photo etch parts, I will only be using the inner section from the original kit.
